Why this Blog?

Part of my college course entails that I must create a blog and blog about the module Big Data.  The first part of the blog is to look at three different areas I could use to create this and explain any features I liked and why I would use this platform.

Pros with reddit are that I know the platform as I have often used it personally before but at the same time, I find myself distracted whilst looking at it and would struggle to get anything done on it.

Wix is a free website builder tool that comes with drag and drop options.  Its design is modern and can be used by both beginners and advanced.  It also includes free hosting.  It is described as best for non-techies who want some “regular website” functionality along with a blog.  However, I find currently it has too much for the required task I am currently doing, and I would get lost in the features.

Even though one of the first free blog platforms, Blogger's popularity has declined recently. For personal blogs, it's a good option, but it's not the finest tool for business use. It functions much like the other hosted platforms in that you must first establish an account in order to utilise them. After creating it (which is easy), you must select one of the pre-installed themes before you can begin recording your ideas. The editor on this platform has a Word page-like appearance, and the interface is like Google+ profile. This will be the website I utilise because of its simple to use UI.
